Centralia Police say no one was injured when a car ran off South Elm Street and crashed into a home in the 600 block of East 13th.

Initial reports indicate the driver of the car, 48-year-old Matthew Meyer of Superior Street in Irvington lost control after first running into a vacant lot and then crashing into a bedroom of the home.   Both the home and car sustained heavy damage.   Meyer declined hospital treatment.

The home was occupied by the John Maxey family.   Three members were at home but were in another room of the house when the crash occurred and escaped injury.

Full reports on the crash are not yet available.   It occurred at 3:48 Thursday afternoon.

The Centralia City Fire Department and Lifestar Ambulance also responded to the scene.
