Carolyn Sue Lashbrook, age 84, of Centralia, passed away on Sunday, January 12th, 2025 at her home.
She was born on March 17, 1940, on Saint Patrick’s Day. She loved her four-leaf clovers. Born in Walnut Hill, she is the daughter of Carl Schneider and Edith (Drake) Schneider.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a sister, her great-husband, Leroy Lashbrook, and her daughter Edie Lashbrook.
Carolyn is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and children.
Carolyn worked for 30 years at Murray Center. After her retirement, she continued to care for those who couldn’t care for themselves. She was a true caregiver. It started early in life for her. As a 7-year-old child, she remembered carrying food, drinks, and supplies to the rescue workers at the mine disaster in Wamac. She encouraged all to visit the Memorial Site in Wamc.
There will be a celebration of life held in April. A notice will be sent out for those who wish to attend.
