Police Beat for Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024

Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 42-year-old Iuka man for alleged possession of 15 to 100 grams of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.   David Linder of Metcalf Road was taken into custody after he was stopped at Olive and Hamilton in Salem while riding a bicycle with another person without any lights Monday night.  After the meth was allegedly found, Linder was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was later released on a notice to appear in court under the new cashless bond law.

Sandoval Police arrested 40-year-old Alisha Ochs of Main Street in Sandoval for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop.  She was taken to the Marion County Jail and later released on a notice to appear.

Salem Police arrested 26-year-old Coleman Ross of Gompers Street in Wamac on a no-bond Clay County traffic warrant.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await transfer to the Clay County Jail at Louisville.

40-year-old Andrew Wintz of South Perrine in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding no-bond Wabash County, Indiana warrant.
