2024 12/21 – Ferris Orange III

Ferris Orange III was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and Pastor. He was born October 22, 1959, in Lafayette, Indiana to Ferris Orange II and Mary (Cozad) Lawrence. He graduated at Mount Vernon Township High School in 1978. He began serving in the ministry at New Covenant Church, in Centralia IL. alongside Apostle Henry L. Dabney, where he served as the assistant Pastor in 1993. He was also well-known as the store manager at RENT ONE during the same time frame.

In 1999, he opened the United Covenant of Faith Church with the assistance of Minister Joe Oestreich. He was also the owner and operator of Showcase Home Furnishings. In 2007, he founded a Christian motorcycle riding ministry named Crusaders. He served as the founder and lead Pastor at United Covenant of Faith Church for 25 years, before going to be with the Lord.

Ferris is survived by his father, Ferris Orange the Second of Lafayette, Indiana, Wife, Jamie Orange of Bluford, Illinois, Daughter, Tabitha Eardley and husband Josh of Dallas, Georgia, Daughter, Emily Oestreich and husband Joe of Greenwood, Indiana, Son, Cooper Sutherland and wife Lindsey of Shiloh, Illinois, Daughter, Maddie Balakhani and husband Brice of Highland, Illinois, Daughter, Heather McKenzie of Redding, California, Son, Benjamin Balakhani of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Daughter, Gracie Balakhani of Mount Vernon, Illinois and special friend Joe Hall of Joliet, Illinois, Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren Brother, Shane Orange of Indiana, Sister, Angie Cox Pogue of Indiana, and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Ferris was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Lawrence, Sister, Yevette Vaughn, and Granddaughter, Anessa.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 4 PM to 5:30 PM at the United Covenant of Faith Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Pastor Orange will be truly missed by family, friends, and many in his community.
