State Police have released more information on a Friday afternoon crash that sent a 23-year-old Salem woman to a local hospital for treatment.
Preliminary information indicates Tierra Lawson was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 37 near Church Road when she attempted to pass the vehicle in front of her. She lost control, traveled into the oncoming northbound lane of traffic and came to rest in the ditch on the left side of the road.
Lawson was ticketed for improper lane usage.
The crash occurred at one Friday afternoon.
