Murray Center residents perform two Christmas programs

By WJBD Staff Dec 18, 2023 | 8:42 AM

With the help of the therapy and activity staff, Murray Center residents presented two Christmas programs over the weekend to a packed gym of parents, guardians and those in the community.

The therapy staff worked with some of the individuals to learn how to read music and they performed two songs. Others told ‘knock-knock’ jokes, read poems, sang songs, and performed several skits. Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance and handed out bath and body sets purchased by the Murray Parents Association. Those who couldn’t perform came to watch.

There were several volunteers who sat with individuals as well as a large number of family members and friends who attended the program.

Murray Center Parents Association President Rita Winkeler said it was a wonderful day.

Christmas will continue for the Murray Center residents as some will get to tour the community to look at Christmas lights and all will be treated to presents provided by the Murray Parents Association on Christmas morning.
