Mark Middleton, 66, of Kinmundy, passed away at his home on December 12th, 2024.
He was born July 19th, 1958, to Joe and Nancy (Lacey) Middleton in Salem. He married his high school sweetheart Della Mae Crain on September 16th, 1978, and they were blessed with 46 years of marriage.
He was a maintenance supervisor at Irwin Seating in Altamont, IL for 26 years, he retired from there in July of 2023. He was a man who had many interests, past EMT for the Kinmundy Fire Dept., past Lions Club member, playing in a pool league on Monday nights, taking grandchildren fishing and hunting, camping, cutting firewood, and going to flea markets for antiques. Mark’s biggest joy came by spending time with his family, who he loved greatly.
Mark is survived by his wife: Della Middleton; daughter: Lacey (Kevin) Braddy; two sons: Caleb (Amanda) Middleton and Cody (Lydia) Middleton; nine grandchildren: Shelby Middleton (Seth Reid), Pvt Andrew Braddy, Makayla Braddy, Brooke Middleton, Cooper McDowell, Bella McDowell, Briar Middleton, Timber Middleton, and Creek Middleton; six siblings: Donna (Duane) Engel, Jean Ballance, Janet Roberts, Joe (JoEllen) Middleton, Jane Middleton, and John Middleton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nancy Middleton; his in-laws: Carroll and Arletha Crain; and grandson: Zachary Braddy.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home chapel, with Kevin Braddy officiating. Burial to follow at Phillips Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, from 9:00 am till the time of service at the Funeral Home for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Phillips Cemetery. They will be accepted at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home at 310 N.
