A 19-year-old rural Walnut Hill woman was injured when her vehicle failed to negotiate the 90-degree turn at Main and Harrison Street in Walnut Hill early Saturday night.
Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports McKenzie Morgan of North Old Centralia Lane was traveling westbound on Main Street (or Walnut Hill Road) when she was unable to slow down in time to make the turn and slid off the wet pavement.
Morgan was transported by Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries. A two-year-old girl in the vehicle was not injured.
The Centralia Fire Protection District was called to assist. The crash occurred at 5:42 Saturday evening.
