Terry Lee Boatright, age 72, of Carlyle, passed away on December 13, 2024, at the Carlyle Healthcare Center. Born on August 12, 1952, he was the beloved son of Darrell and Joyce (Kleber) Boatright. Terry married his cherished wife, Vicki (Maroon) Boatright, on November 2, 1979, in Carlyle; she survives him.
Terry’s legacy continues with his children: Brad Boatright (Jamie), Les Boatright (Mandy), and Candi Snyder (Jared), all of Carlyle. He was a proud grandfather to Brandon Boatright (Mackenzie), Jensen Boatright and special friend Jordynn Duensing, Luke and Lexi Boatright, Landon Snyder and special friend Kailynn Kruep, and Bennett Snyder; his great-grandchildren, Riley and Liam, and by his mother, Joyce (Kleber) Boatright.
He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Boatright, and brother Jerry Boatright.
Terry will be remembered as a man of gentle spirit, unwavering loyalty, and a big heart. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved maintaining his lawn. In his younger years, Terry could be found on his motorcycle and spending time on the lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for Dale Earnhardt. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured his family, embracing two young boys as his own when he married Vicki, and later welcoming their daughter.
In honor of Terry’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held at McKendree Chapel Cemetery in Keyesport at a later date.
