A 61-year-old Salem man has entered a guilty plea in US District Court at Benton to a bank robbery charge.
Earl Morlan is scheduled to be sentenced on March 13th.
Morlan was charged in connection with the January robbery of the Southern Illinois Bank at Ziegler. He was arrested based on identification by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies from a video of the hold-up. There were no injuries reported in the robbery.
