The Centralia City Council Monday night will be asked to approve the city’s budget and tax levy for next year.
City Manger Kory Smith says the nearly $27-million budget is balanced. He’s proposing a 4.95-percent property tax increase to help support it.
The council will also be asked to enter into agreement with CivicPlus for redesign of the city’s website. The initial cost would be $ 7,447 with a recurring fee to allow redesign every two years. The website was last redesigned in 2012.
The council will be asked to set aside $157,042 in the motor fuel tax fund for the summer oil and chip program to reseal just over eight miles of streets.
The council will also be asked to approve a holiday bonus of $100 for full time employees and $50 for part-time workers.
The meeting begins at six, with a public hearing on the budget at 5:30 Monday night at Centralia City Hall.
