Matthew David Terry, 43, of Lignite, ND, formerly of Centralia, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
He was born on November 7, 1980, in Centralia, Illinois to David Terry and Janice (Hopper) Hurn and they survive.
Matthew is also survived by a daughter, Katlyn Wise of Carlyle; a son, Ethan Terry of St Charles, Missouri; a sister, Stacie Hurn of Centralia; a brother, Jacob Hurn (Ashley) of Centralia; aunts and uncles, Linda Anderson of Kansas, Gary Hopper (Maggie) of Centralia, Brian Hopper (Dianne) of Walnut Hill, Lisa (Joe) Senn of Centralia and Kevin (Doris) Terry of Texas; nieces and nephews, Breanna and Paxton Callender, Amara, Ember and Kyber Hurn and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Alice Terry; maternal grandparents, Royal and Betty Rose Hopper; aunts and uncles, Debra and Bob Neal, Rhonda and Terry Hatcher, Patrick Terry and Steven Terry; cousins, Alan Hopper, MaKenzie Hopper, Kaeson Crue Crawford and Destiny Workman.
Matthew enjoyed DJing, fishing, kayaking, riding motorcycles and off-roading in jeeps and trucks, and playing cornhole and darts.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
