Dale Dewayne Dickey, 97, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, formerly of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away at 7:35 pm on November 12, 2024, at Mount Vernon Countryside Manor. He was born February 5, 1927, in Wayne City to the late Reed and Mary Melinda “Mollie” (Jones) Dickey.
Dale is survived by several nieces and nephews, especially Jim and Sharon Prosise. Jim has been a great friend and devoted caregiver to Dale.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Delmer Jones Dickey, Leland Paul Dickey, Donald West Dickey, Logan Chester Dickey, Verna R Catron, Myra Ilene Catron, and Mary Helen Ellis.
Dale was a member of Keenes Baptist Church for many years.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at Dickeyville Cemetery in Wayne County, Illinois. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Dale’s honor to Dickeyville Cemetery.
