Linda Sue Venters, 80, of Salem, passed away peacefully on November 7th, 2024. She was born to Mary Genevea Ward on July 14th, 1944, in Salem.
She is survived by two sons: Anthony Burgess, of Buford, Ga., and Brad (Danika) Burgess, of Missouri City, Tx.; one granddaughter: Victoria Burgess, of Houston, Tx.; one brother: Joe (Frankie) Travis, of Salem; one sister: Sandy Kestner, of Mascoutah, Il; three sister-in-law’s: Paula Travis, of Salem, Lisa (Jim) Flagg, of Swansea, Il, and Elbertia Shuler, of Salem.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, her husband Charles “Jim” Venters, her grandfather who raised her, Jeff Ward, and her brother Robert Travis.
She enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, being a child of God, and worshipping at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Salem. The biggest joy of her life was the love and time she got to share with her family.
