Two people were injured late Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle rear-end crash in the 1000 block of East Poplar just east of Odin.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Amber Matthews of East Third Street in Centralia had slowed to make a left turn into a driveway on East Poplar when she was struck in the rear by a car driven by 58-year-old Sandy Davis of DeWolfe Street in Odin.
Both Davis and a six-year-old boy who was a passenger in her car were taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries.
Amber Matthews and a passenger in her vehicle, 32-year-old Caleb Matthews of East Poplar, escaped injury.
Odin Fire and United Medical Response were both called to the scene.
The crash was reported at 4:17 Monday afternoon.
