Finis Earl Barrow, age 87, of Central City passed on from this life in the presence of family at St. Louis University Hospital on October 13, 2024.
Finis was born on January 28, 1937, in Paris, TN, and was the second of four children born to James Carnell and Myrtle (Garner) Barrow. Finis married Edna Wernsman on May 28, 1955, and went on to have four children: Vicki, Mark, Tracy, and Christopher.
Finis was a carpenter and floor layer by trade. In his younger years, he was a stock car driver, and more recently enjoyed spending time working on antique cars.
Finis was preceded in death by his parents, James Carnell and Myrtle Barrow, siblings, Edward Barrow and Ronald Barrow, and his devoted wife, Edna.
He is survived by one brother, Roger Barrow, and his children Vicki Hake (Gale), Mark Barrow (Lisa), Tracy Terranova, Christopher
Barrow (Jennifer), grandchildren Gayla Fields (Darren), Valerie Hauge (Bradley), Garrett Hake (Cindy), Caitlyn Barrow, Brooke Barrow, Samantha Barcum, Jacob Barcum (MacKenzie) and special friend Pam Barrow. He also leaves eight great-grandchildren: Emma, Garrison, Harper, Sebastian, Lennon, Averie, Makenzie, and Benjamin, with another great-grandchild expected in April.
At Finis’s request, no funeral services will be held.
