George Guidish, 59, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
George was born in Long Beach, California on December 26, 1964, the son of Wayne and Mary Ann (Campbell) Guidish.
On October 20, 2013, he married Tammy Schilling and she survives in Centralia.
Also surviving by his children: Skyler Guidsh (wife, Samantha), Tyler Guidish (wife Haley), Travis Guidish (fiancee Clarissa), step-children Emily Kingery (husband Troy), Andrew Cole (wife Lindsay), Madison Gray (husband Travis); Grandchildren: Magnolia and Axel Guidish, Karsyn and Karter Guidish, Leighton and Brantley Guidish, Aubrey Beezhold, and Serenity Hoffarth, Tiberius, Felicity, Vivianne, Theodora, and Zephaniah Kingery, Laiklyn, Lorelai, and Lincoln Cole, and Cameron Gray; a brother: David Guidish; and several nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
George served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1983 – 1987. He was a parole officer and was employed at the Illinois Department of Corrections for 32 years. He enjoyed camping, tinkering around with different projects, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. George also served as a deacon at Calumet Christian Church in Centralia.
Funeral Services for George Guidish will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Anthony Sweeney officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, October 7, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Funeral Home.
