William “Billy” D. Howell, 63, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Illinois.
He was born December 13, 1960, in Centralia, the son of Charles Howell and Frances (Bree) Sandy. Billy married the love of his life, Diana “DeeDee” Cuno, on August 18, 1990, and she survives.
In addition to his wife of 34 years, Dee Dee Howell of Centralia, Billy is also survived by his children: Misty Cannon and husband Troy of Iuka, Cory Howell of Florida, Dusty Howell of Centralia, Lacey Moore and husband Justin of Sandoval, and Garrett Howell and fiancé Alyssa Morris of Centralia; 17 grandchildren; a brother: Larry Howell of Mt. Vernon; two sisters: Michelle Gaines of Tennessee and Debbie Karch of Dwight; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant child, a brother: Marty Howell, and two sisters: Ida Boch and Dayna Sherl.
Billy worked at Radiac for 35 years and later ventured into his own business, Howell Tree Service. He enjoyed fishing and taking a little trip on his motorcycle with his wife to have a little wind therapy. Billy was a strong family man. He loved his family and always loved going to watch his grandkids play sports, but especially football. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 7, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating.
