Paul E. Mocaby, Sr. 87, of Johnston City, Il. passed at his home surrounded by his family on September 29, 2024.
He was born on November 3, 1936, to Terelius and Allie (Rice) Mocaby in Corinth, IL. Paul was the 15th of 18 children.
He married Margaret Griffith on May 31, 1957, and together they raised seven children. Sons include Paul Jr., Patrick, Sam, and Jacob. Daughters include Robin Stebbins (deceased), April Werner, and Lynda Kellog.
Paul was a graduate of SIUE and taught at Manpower, Rend Lake College, and the vocational school at Centralia Correctional Center until his retirement. He was beloved by his students and his friends.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service. He has donated himself to the SIU School of Medicine.
