It’s Homecoming Week at Salem High School, which also means a chance for the boys and girls to compete in different events throughout the week as well as various spirit days and themes. Wednesday night was the annual Powder Puff competition.
The Junior Class girls came out with the championship beating the sophomores in the first game 14 and then knocking off the seniors in the championship 21-7 on a wet night at Jim Finks Field.
The Seniors had beaten the freshmen 42-0 in the first game. The 3rd place game was won by the sophomores 7-0.
The seniors beat the juniors to win the Mighty Muscles volleyball tournament that took place with opening round games after Tuesday’s volleyball game against Centralia with the final games held during school yesterday.
It all culminates with the Homecoming & Senior Night Game tomorrow night at Jim Finks Field when Salem hosts Columbia.
