A 69-year-old Vernon man has been sentenced in Marion County Court for aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting or obstructing a police officer.
Ronnie Crawford of Burks Road was found guilty in an August bench trial for kicking the Patoka Police Chief in the stomach and then trying to avoid being handcuffed in a July 2022 incident.
Crawford was sentenced to two years probation, ordered to take his medication, pay a $600 probation fee and a $250 public defender fee.
