Marilyn Brown, 87, passed away peacefully, on September 25th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 8th, 1936, in Iuka, Illinois to Paul and Dorothy (Bryant) Crundwell. She married Don Brown in 1982 and he preceded her in death.
Marilyn worked at Fabick Tractor Company for 23 years and at Country Company Insurance for 21 years. Marilyn Loved the outdoors, especially fishing and watching hummingbirds. She loved to surprise her family with her edible or sometimes non-edible food creations at the holidays. Her most enjoyment was when she was with her family, whom she loved with her full heart and soul. Her family was her pride and joy and she wasn’t afraid to let it be known.
She is survived by her son: Tony Walker of Iuka; four grandchildren: Kacie Walker (Grant Lobek), Creed Bevolo (Tracy Lane), Emilee Fitzwater (Jesse), and Braxton Walker; four great grandchildren: Kaeden Bevolo, Grace Fittzwater, Ridge Fitzwater, and Otto Fitzwater; her sister: Pat (Crudwell) Miller; niece Traci Mulvany (Jerry), niece Kim Scarberry (Steve), nephew Greg Crudwell (Jennifer), niece Pam Sharp (Mark), nephew Mark Silvey, and nephew Scott Bauer (Liz); four great nephews: Andy Mulvany, Randy Mulvany, Craig Lingafelter, and Blake Scarberry.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Don Brown, her parents, Paul and Dorothy Crundwell, her two brothers: Jerry and Bill Crudwell, and her brother-in-law Marion Miller.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be afforded. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, 310 North Broadway/ P.O.
