Cathy Johnson, 69, of Walnut Hill, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at her home.
She was born June 27, 1955, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Frank Genaro and Catherine (Critti) Genaro. Cathy married James Johnson on February 14, 1990, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Cathy is survived by her son: Chris “CJ” Johnson and wife Kellie of Salem; five grandchildren: Zachary Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Courtney Shepard and husband Jordan, Madison Rodotz and Toby Pickles; and four great-grandchildren: Gavin, Ambri, Jayci, and Miyah.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cathy loved animals and she volunteered for the Centralia Humane Society. She also had a passion for making crafts. Cathy loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
Per Cathy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public services will be held.
