Cordellia Marie Wills-Drummonds-Whited was born on February 14, 1932, and passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the age of 92.
Marie was born in Ironton, Missouri to Edward Whited and Dolly (Marler) Whited. She resided in St. Louis, Missouri, and retired to Vernon, Illinois.
She had a love for her family, home, and God. Marie was a devoted Pentecostal woman who gave herself selfishly to everyone, she had a love for gospel music and reading. She filled her days with her grandchildren and cooking and baking for the church. Marie also enjoyed canning, making her jelly, and having a double cheeseburger and a small coffee from McDonald’s. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother, two grandsons: Tony and Michael, and two husbands: Howard V. Wills and Howard E. Drummonds.
She leaves behind four daughters, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. eleven great-great-grandchildren, and many many friends. We love you and will miss you with great sadness, to God she leaves us.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia and also on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
