In Class S, Selmaville came up short to Trinity St Mary’s 3-0. Emrie Quick struck out 9 in the win. Raylynn Parker had a triple and run, Quick added a hit and run with Bailey Pingsterhuas chipping in with a single that drove home a run.
For Selmaville, Kaolin Lewis and Shelby Johnson had hits. Keira Meredith allowed just 4 hits and struck out 11. The Lady Rockets finished the year with a school record of 20-6.
The Defenders will travel to Coulterville next Saturday to open up the Class S State Tournament.
In Class M yesterday, Woodlawn beat Central City 16-4 and Nashville shutout Okawville 7-0.
