The Christ Our Rock Stallions opened up their season at the New Athens Invite. The boys were 2nd with 52 points to Columbia with 44 out of 14 teams represented. Senior Elijah Gregory was 2nd in 16:55. Freshman phenom Carsin Pigg had a great first ever high school race as he was 5th in 17:42. Junior Zerek Koch also cracked the top 10 finishing 9th in 18:20. Isaiah Lyons was 24th and freshman Wyatt Gregory was the final counter in 28th.
The Lady Stallions only had 2 girls running in the race. Senior Sarah McKowen was 2nd overall in 20:49 and Junior Rylee Brammeier was 7th in 22:46.
Woodlawn girls also competed at New Athens and freshman Zelena Koch in her first high school competition, cracked the top 10 with a 10th place finish in 23:57.
