The Franklin Park Bobcats won both their games in Greenville on Saturday. They opened with a 9-5 win over Mascoutah scoring 6 times in the opening inning. Silas Lux and Kyler King homered in the game combining to drive in 5 runs. Huck Mulvaney went 2-2 with 2 RBI and Scout Puricelli drove in a run. Mulvaney earned the win going 4.2 allowing 3 h its and 3 earned runs. Caleb Squibb got the final 4 outs.
The Bobcats completed the tournament sweep with a 17-2 win over Roxana in just 3 innings. The big frame for Salem was a 9-run second. Lux homered two more times for 3 on the day and drove in 5 runs. Owen Tennyson had 2 hits and 4 RBI. Puricelli added 2 hits, 3 runs and 2 RBI. Also driving in Salem runs was King, Mulvaney and Trenton Shelton. Puricelli was the winning pitcher striking out 4 in 3 innings.
The Bobcats return to action today at Effingham.
