Franklin Park snapped their short 2 game losing skid when they beat Selmaville at the Little League Complex 9-5. The Bobcats were up 5-1 when Selmaville cut the deficit to 5-3 with a pair of runs in the 3rd. The Bobcats answered back with 4 of their own in the fifth. At the plate for Salem, Kyler King tripled going 3-4 with 2 runs and he drove in another. Scout Puricelli and Silas Lux had 2 hits each, Kai Graham drove in a run. Zane Applegate single and scored, Caleb Squibb scored a run and Bentley Bryan had a hit and 2 runs. Graham went all six innings allowing 10 hits and 5 earned runs with 3 strikeouts.
For the Rockets at the plate, Jaxon Ward drove in 2 runs with 2 hits including a double. Carter Shanafelt, Walker Crank and Jacob Butts also had RBI. Nicholi Mahranka had 2 hits along with Logan Butts who also scored twice. Parker Lewis singled and scored. On the mound, Logan Butts went 2.2 allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs. Jacob Butts then worked 2 innings followed by 1.1 for Mahranka.
The Franklin Park Bobcats are back in action tomorrow when they head to the Greenville Tournament. They open at 10am at Jayce Park against Mascoutah. The winner will go to the Jr High and play Greenville, the loser will stay at Jayce and play Roxanna.
Also tomorrow, Selmaville is at Altamont Lutheran.
The SC Falcons are right back in action this afternoon at North Clay.
