The Selmaville Lady Rockets posted a 7-1 win over cross-town rival Franklin Park. Keira Meredith had a solid performance going the distance allowing just 2 hits and striking out 13. Alana Howe led the Lady Rockets offensively going 2-4 with 2 runs. Kaolin Lewis had 2 hits along with Alli Patrick who also drove in a run. Shelby Johnson and Talya Gowler each had a hit and RBI. Allison Thurman was fantastic for Salem in relief going 6.1 innings and striking out 4. Emma Lipe went 2-3 with an RBI, Quinn Wolfe got on base twice and Kendall Zimmermann scored the Salem run. Selmaville is back in action this afternoon when they host Hoffman Trinity.
The SC Lady Falcons host St Elmo/Brownstown to Deep Rock Energy Field. SC knocked off North Clay on the road 10-0 as Maddi Peddicord tossed a 5-inning, one-hitter. She struck out 13 and walked just one. At the plate, Baylee Brown tripled as part of her 2 hit day and drove in 2 runs. Kennah Hiestand doubled and had 2 RBI, Bella Winchester also doubled going 2-2 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Ophie Lowry added a hit and RBI.
