1. The Eiffel Tower has been re-painted nearly 20 times. It’s been shades of red, yellow, brown, and gray, but has never been painted black.

2. George Clooney starred in a sitcom on CBS from 1984 to 1985 called “E/R”, but it was spelled ‘E’ forward slash ‘R.’ It only lasted one season. Then he starred in the REAL “ER” on NBC 10 years later, which was obviously much more successful.

3. The founder of Kodak, George Eastman, hated that months had different numbers of days. So he made the company operate on a 13-month calendar, with 28 days in each, and two left over. He called the 13th month “Sol.”

4. CDs hold 74 minutes of music because when Sony and Philips were creating them, they wanted to make sure one disc could hold Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony” . . . which comes in at right around 74 minutes.

5. There are about 20 quintillion animals total living on Earth. That’s 20 BILLION BILLION. And about half are insects.
