The annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is set in Salem for Wednesday.
Zach Ellmore of the Red Cross says those in the community are invited to join in the battle of donating to their favorite emergency response agency.
“All donations will be in support of our local first responders. So we are able to count donations towards the Marion County Sherriff’s Department, Salem Police Department, Salem Fire Department and United Medical Response.”
The blood drive will be from noon to five at the Salem Community Activity Center. You’re encouraged to make an appointment on line at RedCrossBlood.org, on the Red Cross app., or just show up. All those able to give blood will also receive a $10 e-gift card to a movie merchant of their choice.
