Centralia City Firemen say a mobile home at 1212 Bond was heavily damaged by fire Saturday afternoon.
The fire department reports the fire started outside the Tammy Elliston residence and moved up the outside wall into the attic. The Elliston family was on vacation.
When firemen arrived, the back end of the mobile home was engulfed in flames. While the flames were quickly knocked down, there was smoke and heat damage throughout the home.
A neighbor who spotted the fire was also able to get the two dogs inside out.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
All available Centralia City Firefighters were called in to assist in fighting the blaze. The Centralia Fire Protection District was called for mutual aid assistance. Odin Firemen stood by at the Centralia fire station in the event of another fire.
The fire call came in at 3:15 Saturday afternoon. Firemen were on the scene for about two hours.
