Sixteen candidates are vying to be Marion County’s next Junior Miss.
We’ll know the winner Thursday night as the Junior Miss and Little Miss competition will be held before the grandstand at the Marion County Fair. The competition begins at seven.
The candidates are: Kinli Biegeleisen, Tessa Bookhout, Kenzi Lewis, Savannah Williams, Shea McGee, Aubree Hoagland, Aubrey Parker, Baylie Purcell, McKenleigh Parker, and Arianna Asroff of Salem, Charlie Bunton of Centralia, Reagan Jezek, KyLynn Hopkins of Sandoval, Dylann Rosenthal of Odin, Hunter Olmsted of Alma and Aubri Landreth of Patoka.
The new Junior Miss will be crowned by outgoing Junior Miss Paisley Stanford who said there were a lot of highlights of her tenure.
“The Little Egypt Parade, I had so much fun in that with the Little Miss. I also enjoyed the State Fair we went to. I also enjoyed the Apple Fest and some of the other small things we have done around the fair the past year.”
Stanford says the contestants have been working hard in preparation for Thursday night’s pageant.
“I’ve had so much fun. They are all so nice and so funny. I think they are all going to do an amazing job.”
The fair then wraps up with the Demolition Derby on Friday and the Pro Pulling League Tractor Pull on Saturday.
