The Salem JV Wildcats finished their summer at 8-13 with a split on the road at Breese Red.
Salem won the opening game 7-4 scoring 6 times in the game’s final 3 innings. Carter Lowe doubled and scored, Brody Collier drove in a run, Evan Barnes had 2 RBI and Max Vincent also drove in a run. Keytin Grawe scored along with Alijah Carroll, Brendan Smith and Jackson Green had a hit and run. Lowe threw 111 pitches to get through 6 solid innings scattering 5 hits and striking out 9.
Salem dropped the finale 12-2 as Breese scored 8 runs in the first inning as Salem made 4 errors. Lowe and Collier drove in runs with Collier adding 2 hits including a triple, Grawe singled and scored. Vincent, Carroll and Green pitched for Salem.
