Salem IGA used a huge 4th inning to pull away and win the 2023 Junior League Tournament after winning the regular season title. IGA beat Peoples National Bank 11-1. In the 8 run fourth inning, Colton Cartright, Brendan Smith, Wyatt McCarty, Damon Jennings and Ki Johnston all drove in runs. McCarty was the winning pitcher going 5 innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits with 8 strikeouts. Lance Nix took the loss going 3.2 allowing 6 hits and striking out 7. Smith, Jarett Rushing and Cartright had multi-hit games for IGA. Jaxon Ward and Kyler King had multiple hits for PNB.
