The 618 Express won the Rebels 14u Tournament beating the Eastern Illinois Blast 8-0 in the finals. In the title game, Archie Goewey was brilliant on the mound throwing a no-hitter walking just 1 and striking out 10. Rhett Lambert drove in a pair of runs for the Express, Gage Parker added an RBI with 2 hits along with Goewey. The Express opened the tournament beating the Blast 17-5, then the Central Illinois Reapers 11-3. On Sunday they opened with another win over the Reapers 7-2 before winning the title.
The Salem 8u Lady Cats beat the Fayette County Freedom 19-10. Abbie Haines drove in 5 runs with her 4 hits, Jayla Tabor added 4 RBI, Julianna Rushing drove in 3 runs. Also with RBI were Landrey Rose, Skylar Gaston, Juliette Scarlett.
The SC Storm 10u team took 3rd place at this weekend’s USSSA State Tournament.
The SC 14u won the Ellisville Tournament at the Ozzie Smith Complex in O’Fallon, Missouri.
