Two men arrested during the execution of a drug search warrant on a home in the 600 block of North Broadway in Salem last week made their first appearance in Marion County Court on Friday.
34-year-old Travis Juds of North Scott in Odin and 42-year-old Gilbert Sidener of West Bennett in Salem were both formally charged with Class X felony charges of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine. The bond for Juds was set at $200,000. The bond for Sidener was set at $100,000. Both had a public defender appointed to represent them.
If found guilty, Juds and Sidener face a six to 30-year prison term and a fine of up to $100,000 or the street value of the meth.
The search warrant was issued as part of an ongoing investigation by the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force with assistance from several other police departments.
