In Little League Majors at the Complex, Security Alarm punched their ticket to the City Series to face Rotary with their 9-3 win over Somer Real Estate. Ben Lux was the winning pitcher going 5 innings and adding 3 hits at the plate. Jax Schaubert was also 3-3.
Schmidt Ford knocked off Rotary 6-4 scoring 4 times in the top of the sixth inning to secure the win. Jacob Butts had 2 big hits in the win driving in 4 runs; Tanner Purintun added 2 hits and 2 RBI. Isaac Knapp was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and Owen Tennyson had 2 hits as well. Tanner Purintun struck out 10 in his 4 innings of work. Dakota Gregg worked 2 innings of 1-hit ball and struck out 6. Schmidt pitchers combined to strike out 16 of the 18 outs made by Rotary. In the loss, Zane Applegate went 2-3 with 2 runs scored, Eli Purdy and Kam Rasul also added hits.
In softball Majors, Somer knocked off Radiac. In the win, Shelby Johnson had 2 hits including a triple with 2 RBI, Zetta Graham 2 hits including a double with 3 runs and 2 RBI, Ady Pracht had 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI, Maxlyn Maciejowski also with 2 hits and added 3 runs and 2 RBI.
Salem Tire beat Marion County Savings Bank 4-1. Katee Sellers struck out 9 in the win. She also scored a run, Kaolin Lewis had 2 hits including a double and scored 3 runs, Riley Potter had an RBI. In the loss, Kiera Meredith had 14 strikeouts. Kenley Cripps, Emily Jones, Meredith and Natalie Burgess had hits.
In girls coach pitch, All State finished the season undefeated with a 15-6 win over First Christian Church. In the win, Abbi Haines had 4 RBI, Kennedy Thompson and Alexis Henseler added 3 with 2 each from Julianna Rushing and Amelia Westman. Skylar Gaston also drove in a run.
