In Jr League action at the Little League Complex, Salem IGA knocked off Squibb Tank 6-4. Kade Orrell drove in a run with a triple and Jarrett Rushing also added 2 RBI in the inning. Colton Cartright was the winning pitcher going 6.2 allowing 4 runs on 11 hits. He struck out 5 with Rushing getting the final out. CJ Allison took the loss for Squibb going 5 innings. Rushing, Ki Johnston and Brendan Smith had multi-hit games. Rushing went 3-4 and Wyatt McCarty stole 4 bases.
In girls coach pitch softball, All State beat Medicine Shoppe 20-4. In the win, All State got 4 hits each from Adalyn Reynolds, Emerie Quick, Skylar Gaston, Juluianna Rushing and Abbi Haines. Kennedy Thompson had 3 hits. Finishing with 2 hits were Arabella Hudspeth, Amelia Westman and Zyley Henseler. All State is 11-0 on the season.
