Edwardsville Back-2-Back State Titles, Effingham Falls In Extra Innings For 4th

The Effingham Hearts finished 4^th in Class 3a with a 2-1 loss in 9-innings to Sycamore at Duly Health & Care Field in Joliet.  Nazareth Academy is the 3a state champions beating Grayslake Central in the finals 7-2.

In 4a, Edwardsville repeated as State Champs with their 6-4 win over Brother Rice.  New Trier was the 3^rd place winner in 8-innings over Elmhurst York 9-4.
