The St Anthony Lady Bulldogs finished 3rd in 2a with their 8-1 win over Johnston City. Taylor Rockridge won the state title over Beecher 7-1 at Louisville Slugger Park in Peoria. Peru St Bede won the 1a state title over Illini Bluffs 7-6. LeRoy beat Goreville in the 3rd place game 4-3.
Today in 3a Super Sectionals, Charleston will play Mt Zion in an All Apollo tilt at Millikin. Charleston won the Highland Sectional over Waterloo 11-5 over the weekend. Also today, Lemont and Metamora play at East Peoria, Lisle Benet Academy will play Oak Lawn Richards at Lisle and Sycamore plays Antioch at Maple Park.
In 4a Elite 8 play today, Barrington hosts Warren Gurnee, Bradley Bourbonnais plays Yorkville at Bloomington, Marist hosts Lockport and Oak Park River Forest takes on Lake Park Roselle at St Charles North.
