The 1a/2a state trophy games are set. Yesterday in 1a at Louisville Slugger Stadium in Peoria, Peru St Bede knocked off Goreville 4-1 and in five innings it was Illini Bluffs over LeRoy 10-0. The 3rd place game is at 9am with Goreville and LeRoy followed by St Bede and Illini Bluffs in the 1a state title game at 11:30.
In 2a yesterday, Beecher advanced with a 7-3 win over Johnston City. They will play Taylor Rockridge in today’s championship at 3:30 following their 6-2 win over St Anthony. The Lady Bulldogs will play for 3rd place at 1pm.
