SSM Health Offers Daytime Sleep Studies for Night Shift Workers

By Bruce Kropp Jun 3, 2023 | 9:36 AM

Daytime sleep studies are available at both SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

The studies diagnose apnea and other issues that disturb our much-needed rest.

More than just a nuisance, sleep disorders can greatly affect the quality of life, mental and physical abilities, and increase the risk of health conditions, including heart attack, diabetes, and stroke.  The sleep specialists are trained to identify and diagnose sleep-related disorders and can help you create a plan for better sleep. If you are experiencing a sleep problem, speak with your SSM Health provider about how to get started.

“Having worked night shifts for most of my life, I know the impact this shift can have on individuals. Quality of life decreases tremendously when you couple night shift work with having a sleep disorder. This can have a direct effect on physical and mental health.” Andy Davis, MHA RPSGT |Manager Neurology and Sleep Services

Sleep Study Services are located at SSM Health St. Mary’s Neurology and Sleep Medicine at 400 South Pleasant in Centralia and at SSM Health Good Samaritan Neurology and Sleep Medicine at 2 Good Samaritan Way Suite 400 in Mt. Vernon.
