The Salem Lady Wildcats handed out softball awards after a historic season that saw them win the first regional in almost 40 years. Co-MVP went to Lilly Blagoue and Olivia Paulson. Blagoue was the Offensive Award winner with Breanna Thurman and Miranda Podergois the Co-Defensive Players. Lauren Burge was Most Improved and Kayla Felgenhour and Maya Susmena were Co-Heart Award winners.
Also this season, sophomore Lilly Blagoue set the Salem team record for single-season strikeouts with 226. That broke Delaney Kell’s record of 219 her senior year.
