Police Beat for Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023

Centralia Police have arrested a 22-year-old Wamac man for felony theft.  Jonathan Altom of Brookside Avenue was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a final decision on charges.

33-year-old Chad Burgess of Airport Road in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for aggravated domestic battery.  Police report that Burgess allegedly struck and attempted to choke another person at the residence on Friday night and left before police arrived.  Burgess was taken into custody when returning to the home early Monday morning.

23-year-old Taylor Walker of East Rogers in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for alleged domestic battery.

Centralia Police arrested 23-year-old Matthew Boyce of Johnson Street in Centralia for alleged domestic battery and disorderly conduct.

23-year-old Blaze Snow of North Pine in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on a failure to appear Clay County felony warrant.  He was taken to the Marion County Jail and later transferred to the Clay County Jail at Louisville.

57-year-old Robbie Dabney of Illinois Route 15 in Woodlawn was arrested by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies and later transferred to the Marion County Jail on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrant.
