The South Central Lady Cougars started their 1a regional championship game in Kinmunday against Grayville yesterday. Up 11-0 in the bottom of the 4th inning, the game was suspended due to rain. They were to resume that one today at 1pm with South Central 3 outs away from winning another regional title, however Grayville has forfeited so SC will advance to next week’s Sectionals.
Windsor/Stew-Stras had their game against Cumberland at Hutsonville suspended with the Lady Hatchets up 3-2 in the 4th inning. They will resume today at 11. In a 8-inning thriller, Okawville nipped Carlyle for the New Athens title 7-6.
Today in 1a regional finals, Odin/Patoka/Sandoval will head to Marissa to take on Valmeyer. The winner will play at Hardin Calhoun on Wednesday against the winner of Carrollton and Nokomis.
Also today, Altamont hosts Edwards County, Woodlawn travels to Trico.
