Coach Brian Lipe is back where it all started, a graduate of Greenville High School in 1997 and Greenville College in 2001 where he played baseball, he looks to guide his Wildcats to another regional title. It would be the 3rd in his 16 year tenure, but it won’t be easy. Standing in the way is perennial powerhouse TTown. The Shoes were eliminated by the Cats last year in the Regional semifinals and earlier this year the two teams split a double header in Teutopolis. First pitch from Greenville High is at 11a.m. this morning. The winner will advance to the Breese Central Sectional for a Wednesday afternoon game against the winner from Roxana featuring the host Shells and Father McGivney.
Also today, Columbia will host Breese Central as the conference rivals meet for the 3rd time this year with the Eagles claiming the first two games on their way to an undefeated conference title.
Newton will host Paris and Freeburg takes on Nashville at Sparta.
