A 39-year-old Salem man charged with armed robbery and conspiracy in connection with an early Sunday morning holdup at the Circle K on West Main in Salem made his first appearance in court on Thursday.
Brandon Kehn of the 1100 block of North Trenary had been arrested on an outstanding warrant on Wednesday afternoon in a home east of Hoyleton. The bond on the warrant was set at $200,000.
During his court appearance, Kehn had a public defender appointed to represent him.
The charges were also read to Kehn. The armed robbery charge claims Kehn displayed a knife to the clerk at Circle K and took US currency. The conspiracy charge claimed he was working in conjunction with another person to commit the robbery. The second person, 27-year-old Cheyenne Logue of the same North Trenary address, made her first appearance on the same two charges on Wednesday with bond set at $75,000. She is accused of driving Kehn to Circle K and later picking him up after the robbery.
Both remain in the Marion County Jail in lieu of bond.
