Salem City Council to swear in new City Clerk and Patrolman

The Salem City Council Monday night will swear in current Economic Development Director Tabitha Meador as the new City Clerk and Assistant City Manager.   Meador is replacing Bev Quinn who is retiring from the position.

The council will also swear in new Patrolman Keith Austin Schoreck.  He has graduated from the Police Academy and is currently completing field training with another officer.

The council will review a proposal from Security Alarm Company on the equipment and installation costs of cameras near the sand volleyball court and new shelter on the west side of the creek near the walking trail.  The city’s equipment would also be upgrade to handle the additional cameras.  The total cost would be just under $13,000.

Saved with Amazing Grace is requesting permission to serve food items at the Men’s Softball League games in Bryan Memorial Park.

The meeting begins at six Monday night at Salem City Hall.
