As the final days of the school year approach, so do the assemblies and ceremonies. Centralia High School held its annual Academic Pep Assembly on Friday, honoring students as well as the faculty & staff for the hard work they’ve put in this school year. The assembly saw students awarded for achievements such as being scholar performers, scholar athletes, giving 110%, performing well on their AP exams, and standing out to their peers and teachers. Students were also awarded for being in the top ten of their class. Three outstanding teachers were awarded the “Making a Difference” award, as nominated by students whose lives they impacted. Also awarded were the “Athlete of the Year” award, a special award from Dr. Shipley, and the infamous senior superlatives, better known as the “Senior Mosts.” The assembly was also graced by student performers, providing entertainment with their incredible performing talents.
